I've fallen and I can't get up!

I am handicapped right now! I am also high on pain meds. too! YIKES! I totally fell getting onto the ski lift last Friday and almost broke my wrist. I went to the E.R. and they said it wasn't broken! Thank goodness! I couldn't believe that something so painful didn't break my whole arm off! I am not too bad at snowboarding, but the ski lift and I do not get along! What's a girl to do?

Unfortunately it was my right wrist which I use most. I am finding that I actually need both hands to do most daily tasks. What the heck?!? I totally didn't pay attention to that fact before. What am I even talking about? I don't even know what I am saying right now. I need to go to bed now. Don't worry, I am not hooked on these pills, I hate them! They make me so irritated, but it is good to sleep without the pain!

I will post some nice bruise pictures later. This blog is starting to become my hall of shame now! WOW! I am done for this season though. I am totally sacrificing my body to learn this stuff for James and the kids! They can't say I never tried!

Don't look at me-I'm hideous!

I have been in hiding because I have a HUGE black eye from snowboarding on Friday. I decided to learn how to snowboard with James and the kids. James has been snowboarding since he was in high school, and the kids are learning with their school, so I thought it would be a good idea to learn. I am doing o.k. so far, but Christian and I kind of got our butts kicked by the ski lift and we ended up in a nasty wreck. I of course didn't have a helmet on that night so I got nailed in the temple with the side of Christian's snowboard. Then when we got to the bottom of the hill my hand got totally cut from my bindings-it was NOT my night! I almost passed out from all of the blood! I am turning into a wimp! I wish I would have gotten a video to share, that would have been so funny!

Overall I think it is sort of fun, and I know I will like it the more I go. I am going with the kids 2 more times this month. Let's hope I live through it!
